Home toilets and bathrooms have numerous surfaces that need cleaning, and five minutes in a day isn’t enough to finish the job. In fact, the bathroom must be the cleanest room out of all parts of your home.

However, a lot of people who are constantly delegated with the task of cleaning it often throw out a lot of complaining, and that is somewhat okay as cleaning the bathroom isn’t really easy. Still, it needs to be done, so the more important question to be addressed is where to actually start?

To start off cleaning your bathroom, you must have the proper equipment and tools. Put all the necessary tools and cleaning equipment in a bucket, as this will hold all the cleaning tools that you will need for the maintenance of your bathroom. You will need a bathroom cleaner, window/glass cleaner, soap scum remover, toilet cleaner, a toilet scrub brush, and a sponge pad.

You may start with the shower by using a soap cup and a bathroom cleaner or disinfectant. First, spray the bathroom walls, curtains and all the knobs with the bathroom cleaner spray and lukewarm water and wipe down all the dirt with the soap. Run hot water in the shower or in the tub as this can also contribute in spraying down the walls and all the tops of the windows, knobs and shower curtains.

Then, clean the toilet. In cleaning the toilet, you may use a toilet cleaner by spraying it clockwise and beneath the lip of the toilet bowl. For the middle area of the toilet, just spray a little amount of the cleaner. Scrub all the area where you sprayed the toilet or bathroom cleaner thoroughly and let the cleaner sit for a while so that the toilet bowl will absorb the sprayed disinfectant cleaner. Then try to spray the rest of the toilet with a bathroom cleaner, making sure that the seat, the area underneath it, the rim, and the hinges are all sprayed and cleaned. Wipe down all the excess soaps and liquids with a scrub sponge with water from the toilet sink. This would not take more than five minutes of your time and is very quick. Flush the toilet to eliminate all the excess and leftover toilet and bathroom cleaner stains and remember to wipe the toilet’s bases where stubborn stains, grimes and dirt constantly thrive.

Then, clean all the mirrors in the bathroom with a glass cleaner and wipe down the dirt by using a paper towel or a newspaper. The newspaper is a useful material that doesn’t streak and it amazingly keeps mirrors and glasses clean and stain-free.

The last portion or area of the bathroom that you would need to mind is the sink. If you had used the bathroom sink for its faucet in any of the mentioned tasks that needs water for wiping down dirt, then it’s just a logical idea that cleaning it would be your last task. Use a bathroom cleaner to spray down the whole sink.  With a sponge pad and hot water, wipe down the sink. Spray the glass cleaner on the sink’s metal fixtures.
